This Black Friday, I'm taking a different path. Instead of pushing discounts, I'm donating 100% of Step Back's profits to support climate action. I believe we need less consumption and more concrete actions to protect our environment.

How It Works

  1. On Black Friday (November 29, 2024), Step Back Wireframe Kit stays at its regular price:

    • Solo License: $29

    • Team License (up to 10 seats): $89

  2. 100% of profit from sales made during these 24 hours (00:00 - 23:59 UTC) goes directly to ClimateAction.tech — a community of tech workers that "provides support and guidance for systemic change in our organisations and industries, to face the climate crisis."

Alternatively, sending a donation confirmation (at least €27) from opencollective.com to support@stepback.design during Black Friday will get you a free copy of the Step Back Wireframe Kit (Solo License).

Let's Be Transparent

I want you to know exactly how I'll calculate the donation:

  1. First, I'll sum up all sales made through LemonSqueezy

  2. From that, I'll subtract:

    • LemonSqueezy's processing fee

    • Tax obligations

  3. I receive the remaining amount in USD

  4. I'll convert this amount to EUR since Open Collective (ClimateAction.tech donation platform of choice) accepts only euros

  5. The final EUR amount will be donated in full

A note on currency conversion: I'll use the exchange rate at the time of donation and include proof of conversion in my documentation.

My Commitment to Accountability

By December 6, 2024, I'll publish:

  • Total sales data from LemonSqueezy

  • Fee calculations

  • USD to EUR conversion rate used

  • Final donation amount in EUR

By December 13, 2024, I'll share the ClimateAction.tech donation receipt.
